Sheffield Libraries have sent out this flyer to advertise that their eLibrary interface is changing from RBDigital to Libby from 24th February 2021!
From the 24th of February 2021, the Sheffield eLibrary will move from RB Digital to Libby – the one-tap reading app.
The Libby app is the easiest way to get started with the thousands of free eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines available from Sheffield Libraries.
Using Libby
Install the Libby app from the app store on your Android, iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod touch), or Windows 10 device. Or visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge browser.
In Libby, follow the prompts to find Sheffield Libraries and sign in with a valid library card.
Browse your library’s collection and borrow a title.
Borrowed titles appear under Shelf > Loans and download to the app automatically when you're on Wi-Fi, so you can read them when you’re offline.
Tap Manage Loan to see options like Renew and Return.
Stannington Library is managed by STAND (Stannington and District Library Group).
STAND was formed in 2013 after Sheffield City Council announced its decision to close sixteen libraries (including Stannington) unless volunteers took them on. STAND was registered as a charity in 2014 and is funded by grants, donations and fund-raising activities. The library is run by a team of dedicated volunteers.
